Paul’s passion and drive to utilise technology for the reduction of energy prices has seen him help numerous private and public sector clients embrace new solutions to limit their consumption and environmental impact.

He lives and breathes the future of disruptive technologies, like battery storage and electric vehicles, and believes they will create a positive impact for end consumers with lower energy costs plus greater flexibility for asset owners.


Paul also has a background in traditional energy assets and has managed projects within the Generation, Transmission and Distribution sectors. Working at Vector prior to founding TOBA, as a senior project manager and the strategic and capital projects manager, Paul has been at the forefront of ground-breaking projects - including Asia Pacific’s first grid-scale battery storage system and the innovative Auckland Harbour Bridge ‘Vector Lights’ project.

Paul has continued delivering innovative projects for clients as part of TOBA, managing the construction and commissioning phases of Mercury’s large scale battery in Southdown, renewable energy projects for Auckland Council and supporting the Auckland District Health board by managing the Electrical and Resilience work-stream which is upgrading and modernising the ADHB’s electrical infrastructure.
