Jono Barnard is an energy innovation expert, with close to a decade of experience working on energy, innovation and climate.
He is the Manager of the Power Innovation Pathway, the Electricity Authority’s open front door for innovators to access regulatory information and support to accelerate the introduction of new products and services to market which can deliver significant consumer benefits.
Before joining the Authority, Jono was the GM Research & Insights at Ara Ake, New Zealand’s future energy centre, where he led various innovation projects concerning electricity and sustainable molecules. He holds a BE(Hons) from Massey University and a PhD from the University of Cambridge, UK.
