James Paterson is the Head of Sustainable Finance at ASB Bank, where he leads debt structuring (green, social, and sustainability-linked lending) and customer engagement in support of ASB's strategy of enabling a low emissions and climate resilient Aotearoa New Zealand. James has a diverse background in Corporate and Institutional debt markets, is a member of the technical working group for the development of the New Zealand Sustainable Finance Taxonomy, and a Board member for Protect our Winters Aotearoa which contributes to initiatives aimed at preserving alpine environments.
