Sam Van Der Sar is an engineer at Powerco.
His current role is Lead DSO Engineer, supporting Powerco’s transition to a Distribution System Operator (DSO). This includes the development of new capabilities to enhance the efficiency and customer focus of electricity networks.
Prior to joining Powerco, he worked in roles across the defence and oil and gas sectors, spanning engineering design and project delivery. Since joining in 2019, Sam has held several roles across the organisation, including leading the electricity Network Transformation Team and managing a portfolio of enterprise-wide digital change projects.
Sam holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) from the University of Auckland.
