Former NEM Review Expert Panel Member
Ava Hancock recently served on the Expert Panel for the NEM Wholesale Electricity Market Settings Review, delivering a comprehensive set of recommendations to modernise Australia’s energy-only market design. The Expert Panel proposed a series of reforms to the NEM to unlock greater visibility and participation of price‑responsive resources, improve liquidity in the derivatives market and support investment in firmed renewable generation and storage. Ava is currently a renewable energy and storage project developer and was formerly an advisor to the NSW Energy Minister on the design of the NSW Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap.
