NZ Downstream 2018 featured an exciting line up of speakers, providing debate and discussion on the key issues facing the energy sector today. It featured 5 main events:

The two-day Summit focused on the key downstream energy sector opportunities covering generation, transmission, distribution, retail and regulation, preparing the sector for disruption in the context of the technology and customer revolutions.
For Downstream 2018 the Strategic Summit also included two events providing specialist focus and attention on the two key areas of Customer and Technology:
- - Wednesday 14th March
The NZ energy market is changing at a rapid pace which promises to transform the way we consume, manage and think about energy. Following the success of the Downstream Smart Energy Technology event in 2017, Downstream 2018 featured an insightful technology-focused event to highlight the new energy future and the opportunities and challenges accompanying the technology revolution.
- - Wednesday 14th March
New Zealand is characterised by having one of the most competitive retail environments in the world and the battle to obtain and retain customers is forcing innovation in the retail sector. As technology evolves, new energy options and better customer relationships provide an opportunity for the industry to deliver value beyond the price point. The Downstream Customer Conference showcased trends and developments to put the customer at the heart of your organisational strategy.
- Monday 12th March
Held during the afternoon before the main Downstream conference, the forum brings together New Zealand’s network managers and their teams to discuss important sector trends and opportunities. This complimentary event is open to all network staff involved with managing, designing, operating and building New Zealand’s transmission and distribution systems.
- Tuesday 13th March
Full House at the Downstream Dinner: We went all-in this year, making the 2018 Downstream Dinner one not to miss. The 2018 Downstream Dinner featured a three-course meal followed by a casino-themed evening of entertainment and networking. This was the perfect opportunity to meet the high rollers of the energy sector and for those that wanted to, take on the blackjack and roulette tables (just for fun).
